Now I can see why the BMW designers left so much flat black on the X3, they were going for a more rugged look. Yours looks sporty and sleek, almost not even like an SUV but a bad ass hatchback! Love the wheels, and that color, and nice composition in these photos too!

Actually I had a hard time deciding to have the body kit or not. Like you mentioned, the original is rugged and more SUV (my wife likes it more), the Body kit makes it look more sporty and aggressive. I like both, but can't afford to have 2 X3s :dunno: At the end I went with it because 1) not sure if how well the black plastics can keep up with the all-year Hot and Dry weather here 2) face lift version will be out soon or later, having the body kit should make it less out dated by then?!

Like many, choosing the color was tough... but I've always liked lighter colors for all the newer bimmers (except Z4 and 6s). The headlights for the recent models have lots of curves and corner, and the lighter color really outlines and emphasis the designs (I find this works well with the body lines as well for the sides). The Silver Grey for the X3 isn't purely Grey, it's slightly Blue-ish. I compared it side by side with my friend's Grey 520i, the Silver Grey definitely look happier!

And the Wheels... I'm actually waiting for the new sets, should be here in 2 weeks time  Then these one will be up for sale!!!

Looks great! I'm guessing you're not in the states as you don't have the roof rails running across the top. With the new aero kit, it looks really slick! I have also toyed with whether or not to go with the aero kit, but since I live in a poor weather climate (rain almost year round), I thought the stock would hold up better than the painted kit. Still, yours looks great. If you would, please post pics when you get the new wheels. It's always fun to see a rig in progress.

That looks terrific. Your colour choice was perfect. Silver Gray is gorgeous. The only comment I was going to make was addressed by you in the above quote. Some 19" wheels and it will be perfect. (20" wheels might look too big on the X3 but then again....)

Nope, not in the state. My dealer was going to throw it in, but I didn't really want it as I knew 1) it has no practical use to me at all 2) don't think it goes well with the Body kit.

If I have a darker color, I would go with the original black bumpers and the rails.

How's the ride since the new wheels? Any noticable difference - certainly more of an "on-rails" feel, but is it rougher?
