now how would i know if the module was fubar? The ipod reads that it is connected to a dension unit. I just dont get any sound or a cd-changer. Heres teh site i picked that firmware off of. Would there be a way to send it to you (i would pay of course), if you have the proper equipment, and have you flash it at EAS with the BMW firmware?

Only Dension (overseas) has the proper equipment to reflash the module. Loading a non-BMW firmware onto the module more than likely caused it to lock up.

Again, those are not BMW firmware DLs - you possibly put an Alpine or other model firmware on the module, even with the correct firmware - the modules become very unstable during the reflashing process and often lock up.

With the shipping charges - you will come to about the same price as switching over to the DICE kit. We have upgrade modules on the site, which what most people on the forums are running:

Yes - the same iPod connector and wiring harness is retained. Only the module is swapped.

What are the dimensions on this unit? Would it be able to fit in the center console?

The DICE module equivalent to the size of a deck of cards.

Ice>Link working

I got my ice>link to work, finally. In short here's what you must do if you have sirius and want ice>link or Dice. BE SURE to plug in the BIG connector in the back in to the sirius receiver. If it ain't, it won't engergize the connectors under the console. I can't believe it took hours of scratching around on the web to figure it out but it has never been said here.
Good luck!!

That makes sense to complete the loop..

But what if I'm pre-wired for Sirius and don't have it installed? How would I complete that connection. Maybe that's the fix I have been waiting for. Figures I just sent back my module to Tom in exchange for another one. If anyone has any suggestions for doing this, please let me know..
