Gearbox problems ?
 

Is a BMW X3 3.0d 218 HP

My wife's X3 3.0d (218 HP) has a RANDOM
(non-reproductible on demand) problem with the automatic gearbox from
the 730 to 750 RPM in the city.

Between 730-750 RPM in the crowded streets of Bucharest it seems like
the engine is not correctly alimented and the car is shaking.

The only remedy is the N position or to accelerate (if you have the
space)...

Today is my forth visit to different BMW service in Romania.

It seems that they don't care, and this is a 70 000 Euro car !!!

While I don't know that much about diesel engine's I had a similar problem on my Corvette. It ended up having a pulley that was locking up on the serpentine belt. It would cause the the entire car to shake to the point that you thought something was really wrong then it would just stop. Finally figured it out when it ended up shredding the belt!
