If I dont get navigation will I be able to get in my car and have the car pair with my bluetooth phone and make phone calls handsfree?

But if you're asking about the BMW Assist option with Bluetooth, it can be independently ordered from nav. You do not need nav to have the BT functionality, since phone #s and info is displayed in the radio display.
