X3 Transmission noise when cold starting/Motor Pinging also
 

Hi everyone,
Apologies if this is known couldn't find and answer to these questions?
When I start from cold overnight the transmission seems to rattle for a few minutes then goes quiet?
Second question I notice engine pinging when acceleration or going up slight hills using 98 octane or 100 wondering if the sensor is faulty?

This does NOT sound good. You need to visit your stealer ASAP!
With our modern ECM you should be able to run the lowest octane made and not ping, you could be doing some major damage to your motor!
