Bluetooth Pairing Problem

I have a 2006 X3 with Nav and I got 2 new phones last week, Sprint,Sanyo Katana,Dual Band/Tri-Mode SCP 6600. I had no problem pairing up both phones with MY 2005 530i with Nav but when I tried pairing them up with the X3 they wouldn't pair up. The screen on the phone keeps saying out of range even when I'm sitting in the car. I went step by step both in the car and on the phone at least 6 times and still no success, What could I be doing wrong? TIA
cheers

The ones in the phone manual,X3 bluetooth manual with the PK# and also information I got from BMWNAUSA.com about pairing up Bluetooth for the X3 in their video. I also have Premium Pkg and BMW Assist. The screen on the phone recognizes the car and the last 5 # of the vin come up but thats as far as it will go before it says out of range after it searches.

Problem solved. Seems like after you do all the programing you have to turn off the ignition for awhile and then everthing falls into place. Both phones work fine. By the way thanks for all the answers I rcieved to correct the problem. LOL
