Let me know if you have troubles getting a NAV disc, I have Version 12 if you need.
I'm getting my rear camera done now, I got the bumble bee one as recommened for EAS. It's a CCD Camera which is supposed to be better than CMOS. Just thinking where to put it so it wont get stolen.....
Only thing mine is missing now is a good set of Rims and bluetooth kit :(
I've found www.prestigeupgrades.com in Australia which has 20" Sets for $1300.
You guys know will 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 fit??

Hi Rod,

I've got the BMW fitted 6-CD changer unit in the armrest in my new E83 X3. Are the ibus connectors under the armrest unit do you know? I've long wanted to get the TV option enabled on the move, and have tried hardware solutions (Plugin adapters between TV unit and cable running to the head unit) but none worked in the X3.

Hi...

You will just need to disconnect the CD Changer temporarily to access the iBus. You will find there are two cables plugged into the CD Changer.
There is a 6-Pin and a 3-Pin (Ibus Cable).
Unplug both when doing it, then when your done you can happily plug them back into your changer.
Works a treat. You can also play with different options with your Navigation.

Successfully got my ibus adaptor now, and s/w.

Looked at the CD changer module wedged tightly in the under-arm rest position, and thought..

Hmm..

Now how do I get this out?

Any sugesstions other than grip anywhere I can and yank it? ;)

Yeh you should be able to just pull it out and unwrap it from the foam/velcro wrapping. Just hope you got small hands......mine were really tucked down the corner.

Gave it a try, ended up managing to pull out the plastic tray which surrounds the CD changer, and then took out two screws - but the screws effectively hold the hold central console plastic bit together..

I could not see how to remove the CD changer unit itself!

Seeing as I had to give up on that, is anyone aware of explicit instructions (with diagrams for someone who is nervous about taking his car apart!) or can show me what the IBUS connector looks like in another place which is easier to get to?

Hi,

If you have the CD Changer in there already your IBUS Cable will be plugged into the changer. It should be a small 4 pin cable which you unplug from the CD Changer.

A Little FYI for ya to save time in the future.

What I did with the CD Changer connection is place near the Cig Lighter that pops out of the back of the centre console.

So now when I have to access the IBUS Plug (CD Changer Connection) all I have to do is remove the Cig Lighter instead of the whole centre console.

Its saves heaps of time.

does anyone in sydney or Australia have one of those resler things that i can buy or borrow.......want one for the weekend
