Wheel grime
I've got a new white X3 2.5 that I wash and polish all the time. Problem is, the alloy wheels get this nasty coating of brake dust?? after one or two days and they need to be cleaned continually. Anyone else have this problem?
I do spray on a tire black so maybe the overspray is adding to the problem. Any help would save me a half hour per week. |

As JV suggested, any good wax on a clean wheel surface will help in the removal process, though short of "dustsless pads", nothing will reduce the brake dust cast-off process; those are big freaking brakes and they Work!
Another couple prods. to try: Zaino combo of prods., which I use and find that the "release" ability is outstanding, eg, the crap comes off. Great on your paint, too: http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...tegory_Code=QO Or, Wheel Wax, which was raved about by some here, though I have no exp. w/the prod: http://www.wheelwax.com/ GL,md |
