Trip computer Fuel consumption resetted

Something weird happened with the trip computer on my gf's 2004 X3. The average fuel consumption read-out use to indicate 10.0 to 10.1l/100Kms. Out of nowhere, it resetted back to 0.0l/100Kms. I dont know why besides some kind of OBD computer glitch.

Does anyone know how I could reset it back to real time fuel consumption? The last time I changed the oil, I had no problems resetting the service indicator back to 25,000Kms. This issue with the avg fuel consumption only happened recently.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Well, in the US OBC, when you have the avg fuel economy showing on the cluster, depress the OBC button at the end of the turn stalk for a few seconds. The computer will then reset to zero and begin recalculating the avg fuel economy from that point forward.

Thanks. That fixed the issue ...
