2007 BMW X3--CD Player

Does anyone know if the CD player can handle MP3 formats. Someone told me I can download around 180 songs a cd but the cd player must be able to support it. I know the 535XI has this.

Yes, the CD will read mp3s on X3s starting from 2005.
