How to remove front grill(kidneys)... help
 

Am a newbie on your forum. I just bought an X3 but I am familiar with BMW because I have a Z4 and a 5 series.
I need your help on the following problem:
How can I remove the kidneys of my X3 and where can I find a firewall to pass a wire onboard? I want to do these things to install a laser jammer.

There are about 6 spring clips on each grille which you can compress with your fingers and then push from the inside out. Unfortunately on teh E83 you have to loosen a few of the hex screws on the top cross member to gain access.
