Audio problem with new DICE Silverline unit

First, let me say I've searched old threads high and low and have found a ton of useful info, but am still having the following problem:

2005 X3 w/Business CD
Never had a CD changer
Sirius satellite installed and working perfectly since 2006
Aux input installed and working perfectly since 2006
Just purchased a DICE Silverline kit for the X3
Connected the CDC connector to the sirius receiver in the trunk area
Connected the CD-SDARS labeled 6-pin connector to the DICE harness
Connected the proper 3-pin connector (not the phone connector) to the DICE harness
Battery was disconnected during install
iPod has appropriate updates
The 12-pin CD-SDARS labeled connector is connected to the head unit

When I connect my iPod everything seems to work fine except that i get no audio. I can control the iPod with the radio controls, it scrolls through my playlists etc. etc. I just can't hear a peep.

Anyone have any suggestions? Can I hook up the DICE unit to the 3-pin and 6-pin connectors in the trunk area used for Sirius at least to test if it works from there? Maybe I have a bad factory harness from the console to the trunk

Thanks.

Some BMW radios need to be reprogrammed to open up the CD changer audio input. Especially if the car did not come with a CDC from factory.
there is an SI from BMW about this but I can't find it right now.
