2007 BMW Climate Control Issues
Does any understand why if we have climate control do we have to play with the Hot/Cold Dial on the top.... and the SnowFlake. It's very annoying..... I had 3 acura's prior and I never had to worry about moving a dial.. Depending on the temperature in/out the climate control adjusted between face vents and floor and was hot and cold... AM I doing something wrong?

The upper dash vent wheel is for those frequent days when you need
a lil' feet heat, but want cooler/cold air on your face/torso... Hope that moving a dial doesn't put you off from your BMW vs your Acuras. GL,mD |

That fresh air dial is a miracle worker if you know how to work it properly. I'm sad that BMW ditched it in favor of a less precise "hot/cold" left/right only dial in the newer BMWs.
That dial controls how much fresh/cold outside air blows from the centre vents. 3 dots is max outside inlet, 3 red is none. It works independently of the automatic climate system. You can tweak it so just the right amount of cool air gets in on a cold or hot day. However, if you don't want to bother, just set it in the middle. The snowflake is simply the Air Conditioning. Simple as that. |
