It's stylish in the sense that a RAV4 is more stylish than a CRV. Better curves, better angles. Better than big brother Q7 for sure. I also do like it better than the X3 which I never thought was all that great to begin with. Quite the contrary.

And I happen to feel the Treg drives great, I don't notice much of a difference at all

Single zone climate control? ..ZOMG! The X3 is still in it's first generation. If you're going to complain, wait till you've at least seen the Q5's primary competitor, the next gen X3.

doesn't matter, your comparing the current X3 to the Q5, and the Q5 is far superior

That's fine. The current X3 will most likely trounce the Q5 in performance (which is a lot more black and white), and there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the interior after BMW upgraded the materials. Even so, the next gen X3 (the real competitor of the Q5) will address all the drawbacks of the current X3 and build upon the numerous strengths.

Nothing wrong

The Materials in my 325i are far superior to anything in that rattle trap. The rear lacks anything convienant (Does it even have air vents?) let alone rear controls (I mean heck my Treg has 4 zone), it lacks comfort, the transmission I agree is unrefined and the shiny black plastic on the center console screams "I'm a Camry" and single zone climate control is unacceptable in a vehicle of that price and we won't even get into that fabulous ratting moonroof

I find it hilarious that the bulk of your arguement rests on the climate control. Care to point out the shiny black plastic? Even still, I could care less if the Q7 was like a Rolls Royce inside, for how unbelievably shitty it is to drive.

Are you blind? Look at the center stack......

It's all cheap looking plastic

^ Wow that's a carbon copy of my X3's interior, right down to the options and wood trim!

I don't understand dual-zone (or more) climate. Doesn't the air just mix anyways? I mean, we have dual-zone in the 325i, but I seriously want to smash it sometimes because it doesn't work properly and as a result, no body is comfortable with the ventilation system.

The X3 was initially designed for younger folks with an active lifestyle who don't care too much about fancy trim. Like a Nissan Xterra. But the marketing folks screwed up, and thus the '07+ have a more mature, refined feel to everything (including the suspension, lighting, and noise levels). The plastics look chintzy on the X3, but it's built as solid as a rock and the gaps are lined up and small. There are bigger gaps and more places of cost-cutting in the E90.

You're the one that said shiny black plastic..I still can't find it. Looks and feels fine.

We should revive this thread again when the next X3 is out since it'll whoop Audi ass. The current gen X3 and Q5 will only have overlap for one model year.

it's good I like it to be honest...

but I don't know...is that really gonna be compared to the X3? mmm are we comparing the Q7 to the X5??

I thought this Q5 will be compared to the X5...I don't know why...!
