I like it, but it's no X3!

ummmm, I might have to trade in the X3 for that.

Sort of a re-post. Check out this thread with more photos. I have to agree that it looks better than the current X3 and interior quality is way better.

I agree the Audi def looks better........... who knows if it drives better but I bet it has a smoother automatic transmission ............. I swear ours seems like a drunk 3 year old toddler is shifting for me............

That is my 1 issue with the 'Treg, it feels very unrefined in it's shift patterns

Looks good, but don't like the interior design (although materials look to be decent). If it came with a diesel, I might be willing to give it a shot.

The diesel torque numbers are pretty impressive. Wonder what the mpg would be (diesel is pretty expensive)? All in all, the 2.0T might be the better choice.

I still believe BMW makes the best petrol engines. Plus, I would consider (well, not to buy, but for comparison) a Q5 based on comfort, luxury, and design while still maintaining good driving dynamics.

The strongest motor for the model range will be the 3.0TDI model, but I'm guessing that's going to be pricey. The motor I would pick would be the 2.0 TDI, which makes around 170PS, yet sips only 6,7/100km of diesel fuel. For US comparison purposes, our 3.0si X3 consumes 9.7l.100km. (The Q5 2.0TDI is on par with the X3 2.0d in terms of consumption.)

I suspect the performance feel of the 2.0T will feel lacking as our B7 A4 2.0T doesn't feel as spirited as our 2004 X3. However, the fact that it gets 50% better gas mileage in city driving would be a big plus in today's environment.
