Lifting an X3?
 

Does anyone know where to find parts to lift my 2004 X3 so i can get a little more clearence for larger tires? i tend to go off road a lot for camping and just to have fun. Let me know Thanx!:dunno:

I highly doubt there are any bolt on solutions. I'm sure you can find someone to do a custom setup though for an astronomical price.

Personally.... If that is your need.... you bought the wrong SAV.

Just get $1000 used Wrangler or 4runner for camping. It'd be cheaper and more effective.

Hartge has a offroad program where they lift the X's 40mm (1,6") and fit larger tires.
They might be willing to ship the parts.

That said, I certainly wouldn't do that to mine. Fortunately I got all of the off-roading out of my system years ago in a much cheaper CJ7.

i went to the web page but didnt find the lift kit so i emailed them asking about it. did u actually see the kit for sale??

That off-road package is cool. Mechanically it's not designed for rugged off-roading but for lighter, unpaved roads, it has to be one of the best solutions for on/off road vehicles.
