how to change oil filter?
 

Hi im new to this forum so plz dont flame me for making another post if there is one. Ummm i was just wondering how do you change an oil filter on a BMW X3 2.5i 2005.i've seen pictures how to do it but im just worried about the on board CPU. how do i reset it after i installed a new oil filter. if you guys have AIM add me haxorhalo for better communication.

The on board cpu should reset itself on its own after you change the filter if I'm not mistaken...On my X5 I change the oil and the oil filter and never have to mess with the on board computer, it does it on its own,.

so that means the service light will go away after i change the oil?

Thats correct.. couple days and it will go off..
