Radio Removal?

Has anyone successfully removed their radio using the instruction on this site....
http://www.x3world.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=181

The wood/alum trim on the X3 doesn't start at the passenger door... these instructions don't make much sense. :dunno:

Can someone please provide more accurate instructions that actually reflect the interior structure of the X3.

Thanks

Well, I don't think the writer meant that you must start pulling the trim off ON the door... but on the part that touches the door when closed... does that make sense? I'll have to go look at the wife's X3 to see how the trim goes...

Gee thanks - It was pretty clear that didn't mean start ON the door.

Anyway, the direction on the site are wrong nontheless. You don't need to remove any trim...seeing as there is no trim on the passanger side at all - contrary to what the instructions would indicate.

All you need to is pop-off (a little force) the vent assembly in the center of dash and remove the two screws which hold the center panel in place, then the radio is exposed.
