Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !!!
Woo-Hoo !!!
I live in Western New York, and we are getting hit pretty hard with snow today. I guess we are getting what hit Arizona, Las Vegas, and Chicago yesterday. I can see my ‘05 X3 from the window at my desk, and it’s pretty much covered with snow and drifts are forming on the ground around it. I just got an e-mail that we are getting dismissed early. YEAH !!! I’m looking forward to driving home for my X3’s first real road test of AWD since I purchased her 3 months ago. I just may take the long way home (about 26 miles on a normal day) to go down the roads less traveled and see how she handles on unplowed country roads. For the last 9 years, I’ve been driving my ’99 Dakota (1 wheel drive) and it served its purpose. It is a good truck and starts every day, but I dreaded driving in snow as it can’t get out of its own way and would just spin its tire in 2” of snow. Some people don’t like snow, but I love it. My daughter and I ski/snowboard each weekend and finally having a vehicle that can handle the elements will make my life easier. Oh, this is my first official thread in this forum. I’m in lurk mode most of the time reading up on the X3 and finding new info daily. There is lots of good stuff in this forum if you search. I’ve found most everything I need to know via search so I encourage all noobies (including myself) to search, search, and then search again. |
Man, I dont know how much you love snow. But your signature is very disturbing and annoying "to me". Too bad, i already read it. You dont want to start your day reading those words involving "grave", "preserved body" ect.

No worries, NOVAX5. It’s my motto, not yours.
Ride home was great. Car handled exactly how I hoped it would; Very predictable and stable. I took a couple of corners faster than I should have to see how it reacted and made the 4x4 light flash on the console. VERY happy with my decision to buy the X3 … |
:xoutpost:. Post up some pics of your ride when you can. Glad you are enjoying your X3.

Welcome, and congrats on the ride!! I lived in the B-Lo for a few years, am still in Western NY, and LOVE the snow! How are Kissing Bridge and Holiday Valley? Haven't been to either in years.

Kissing Bridge is where I mostly go. They had a real bad year last year, but I'm sure they will make up for it this year. I have a right-nite pass that allows me to go once per week on any night. I travel to Holiday Valley with my buddies once or twice per year. At random, we pick a day to go, then all take off work and go down to ski / snowboard. It's a blast.

Nice!! Have a fun season!
