Aero Kit II Installed!!
8 Attachment(s)
Finally done, took about a week and a half and I think it turned out great! Final cost was $1,500 for the kit and $1,200 for paint/install. A bit steep but, I guess I won't see myself driving down the street too often. Let me know what you think...

What is the deal with the foglights, and the exhaust? Do foglights come with it or that is extra also? Also can I just put the $50 chrome tips on my stock exhaust and it will work with the kit? I'm glad to know (I think this is correct from your pictures) that the kit comes with black strips on the sides so that they continue the fender trim down to the bottom, I thought that it would look a little funny to have the black from the fender just go to to the top of the bumper.. Also, does it come primed? |

Dave, congrats!!! Great kit and choice of color (same as mine ;-). "a week and half"... did they actually charge you for that amount of time? Mine (Aero Kit I, require more work than the II) was done in only 4 days by the dealer. |
The X3 looks so much better with the aero kit on it. I have to watch the X5 forum now as I may be getting my wife one before too long.

Aero Kit II does come with some black trim to carry the line along the fenders down to the bottom of the front and rear bumpers. Also some black panels in the bottom of the grill and bottom of the rear bumper.
My X3 came with fog lights and I'm pretty sure they reused the sockets, wiring, etc and just mounted them in new housings. I already had chrome tips and the stock exhaust did not change. (There is an option to upgrade to a Sport Exhaust which I declined). This was their first Aero Kit install so they took there time (which was fine with me). Price of $1,200 for install/paint was determined up front, I'm pretty sure the kit was not primed when it arrived from the factory. They did a really nice job of matching color which is not easy with silver. The install/paint was done by a body shop that contracts with the local BMW dealer. The dealer does not do body work itself. Thanks for the compliments! I am very satisfied with how it turned out! |
Where Can I Get A Body Kit For My X3 ???
