2004 x3 transmission help
 

first post so hi all.

i have posted this on another forum but was hoping someone on here might be able to input aswell.

x3 differentials
 

does anyone know if the differential ratios are the same on all x3's?

i have got a 2.5 petrol but can get one from a 2.0 diesel but have no idea if it will fit.

any help appreciated thanks.

No, the X3s had different final drive ratios (if that's what you're talking about, not a tech expert) for the different motors.

yes that is what i was meant i thought that would be the case.
