Ok, finally got around to installing the aux connector. Had my daughters boyfriend helping just in case. He is a tech kid that has built robots. My wifes X3 is an '04 with nav. We removed the radio and found an 18 port connector. There was no 12 port. We followed all directions pictures etc. All the wires looked the same just all in the 18 port. We put the three wires that came with the aux into the 18 port in the proper locations and it will not work. We tried a few different things and still nothing. Not only that, there is no air blowing with the a/c, heat, defrost etc. We did not even touch any of those wires. WTF? We triple and quadruple checked all connections, disconnected the aux port wires and made sure everything was back to how is was beforehand. This looked so easy, what do I need to do besides take it to the dealer or a stereo shop? Could a fuse have blown or something?
