UGDO Auto-Dim Rain Sensor mirror on eBay
 

Hey Folks: In case your interested, I put up on eBay last night a new interior mirror with Auto-Dim, Universal Garage Door Opener, Rain Sensor, and the Red Clown Nose. This was retrofitted into my non-premium package 2005 BMW X3 3.0 but I had BMW further upgrade me to the mirror that also included the Compass.
BMW part number is 51 16 01 7 028 444 (5116017028444)
It was only in for a week and worked perfectly

Do you know if it works on the X3 that currently does not have Rain-Sensor?

The interrior mirror on my X3 currenty has Auto-Dim only. Does the car need to be prewired from the factory in order to make the wiper work automatically with the Rain-Sensor?

I'm pretty sure it can be retro-fitted to any X3. Of course, you should check with the dealer to be sure though.

Quick question: Your upgraded mirror, what's the part number? I'm interested in making a similar upgrade.
