I remember the airbag and the seatbelt warning were both ffected by the faulty seat mat. I think that was the case.

There was also a recall for the sensor in the seat that detected a passenger, but it only went up through the 2006 model. Could be related, sounds like the same issue.

I think I'm going to go with the DICE Media Bridge MB1000. It provides USB / IPod connectivity plus an additional head phone jack input.

I'm looking for descent panel mount versions of a USB port, head phone jack, and 12V cigarette lighter. I'm planning to do some minor surgery on the large lower tray that's inside the center console. One thing I like about the 2011 X3 is that they brought the headphone & USB connections inside the center console.... but I love my x3! :)

I went with the Swagman XTC2 trailer hitch bike rack.

I'll have to look into that passenger seat mat recall.
