Lights Flashing when car is locked
I took my 04' X3 in the other day for service and I got an 06' 325i (sweet ride for a car). I noticed that when you lock the doors on the new 325i the front headlights and the side markers flash so you know that the key you pressed actually locked the doors. My X3 does not do this. Is it because I don't have the alarm or is this a programmable feature that I just need to get the dealership to change? Thanks for the help.

Yes, it's a programmable feature whether you have an alarm or not. In addition to the visual indication that you've locked the doors by the flash of the lights and side markers, the clown nose also flashes intermittently. It gives the impression that you have an alrm, when in fact you may not. If you DO have an alarm, you may also have an audible chirp to indicate you have armed/disarmed it.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.
