manually closing the sunroof on 07 x3
 

I have recently had problems with closing my sunroof. Went to the dealership, they want $4500 to fix it. Right now i have it parked in the garage. Is there a way that the roof can be closed manually.

Hopefully you don't need the help and got it closed... but just in case you didn't...

While having someone press the button to close the roof I used a flathead screw driver to push the slider mechanism on the rail closed. It's a plastic piece on the rail. It cracked so it got stuck in place for me too. Luckily I got it fixed under warranty.
