Clunking noise in the back (possibly rear suspension)
 

Next week my X3 will be 6 months old and I have already accumulated 21 000 km (>13K miles). Recently, when I slowly turn from the road up steep driveways I hear a clunk in the rear of the car.
This tends me to believe that either something has loosened up at the rear suspension or something is worn. Has anybody experience this?

Does anybody have a detailed drawing of the rear suspension, outlining the several parts used? I am curious whether there are bushings down which could be worn.

Ofcourse, I don't see how I should be experiencing any problem with the suspension after only 21 000km of mostly highway driving.

Hey Fred, go to www.realoem.com and you can see a breakdown of your rear suspension. I dunno what it might be, but you do have some bushings back there which are prone to wear.
