X3 front driver door rattle

I have a rattle which I now think is the window in some way.

Symptom:
- Slight rattle when I shut the door
- Slight rattle when I drive on very low RPM (diesel engine), can get the sound if I intentionally drive away on to high gear or drive slowly uphill
- Severe rattle when driving on very uneven/unpaved roads
- Seems to not occur if I lower the window very slightly

I have read quite a lot of threads and just now tried to tighten the 4 door screws and also swapped all 8 plastic clips that holds the door cover. Window regulator or what?

What should I do next? Thankful for any and all help.

I had a similar issue, I thought something was loose but after some forum searching it turned out I had to treat the rubber seals on the door

-clean the seal on the door and car body with a wet towel then dry
-apply gummi pflege (Einszett Rubber Care Stick Gummi Pflege, gummi pflege)
-let it dry

should be good as new...and quiet!

Thanks but I have already tried with the new super expensive, for such a tiny "pen", Carbaflo product. The seals looks and feels like brand new, and yes I have been very careful to apply everywhere (even bent the seals open).

Now I am 100% certain that this is a mechanical glass rattle. Out of town last weekend and no garage so I am trying to figure out all possible ideas before disassembling again.

I wonder if this is applicable to my X3 which was built week 8 2007:

I am unable to find a picture of the part on RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog Anyone who can share a picture or help out?
