mkiv splash screen
 

So I made my own v31 update disc for the mkiv, all I did was change the splash screen. It showed the first time it booted up, with the new splash screen. Now for some reason, my mkiv does not show a splash screen, and gets to the accept screen pretty quickly. Is it because my car hasn't been off for long enough, and the navi is just waking up from sleep or did I do something wrong?

Any mkiv owners that have this issue?

Sorry, i know this is a super old thread, but I was doing a little searching and came across it...so I thought I'd revive it.

I've had this issue since i bought my car (2007 X3 LCI). And it drives me nuts. It happened before i tried going with a custom update too. It seems that the splash screen kinda shows up whenever it wants during a start up, but definitely not consistently. It doesn't matter about length of time the car has been off or anything like that.

I even paid the dealer to do a fresh firmware update at some stupid cost and it didn't change.

I never changed the splash screen, only the voices from US to UK. I would consider going to V32 and posting a question on Xoutpost navigation forum
