Any way to replace the carpet in the boot?

Annoyingly a spare car battery I had in the boot leaked somehow and so some battery acid got on the carpet which has made some of the carpet 'fur' come off. I got rid of all the spillage but I'm just wondering if there's anything that can be done to repair the carpet. Frustratingly, we're thinking of selling the car soon. :-(
