Removing the roof rails???
 

I will never use the roof rails on my 05' X3 so I'm thinking of removing them to get a little smoother look. Might be easier to clean too... Has anyone done this? Or, if you have a Titanium Silver X3 with no rails and you want a set, I'd be willing to trade the rails for the trim pieces I'll need to cover the holes left behind when I remove them.

I think the rails come on all X3's from the factory, a standard option. I could be wrong... I don't use my rails either, but I'm waiting to scrap up the cash to buy the cross bars (?), I hear they are supposed to help with wind noise while the sunroof is open.
