can you add CarPlay WITHOUT navigation?
 

Looking at X3's. Dealer says you need Navigation to make CarPlay work.
reading after market sites/add-ons - but very confused.

anyone get CarPlay to work (mirroring apple phone to screen) wirelessly without having factory navigation??

I have a 13 x3 that I just put a forward facing camera, back up camera with a mirroring device for android and I don't have nav system. puts my phone right on the factory info screen. They work great it took ma an afternoon to do the install

Any photos or details to show the mirroring device? I would be interested in getting android auto on X3!

I don't have any picks. I did that a few years ago and I have upgraded it to a new 12.3" screen. Its an AvinUSA with a Android operating system. You retain all of the BMW Idrive systems. It is also very easy to install all plug & play
