Question on Camshaft Locking Tool

As soon as the weather warms up a bit, I plan to do some major surgery on the X5; namely timing chain guides, Vanos Seals, and valley pan gaskets. I watched a friend do one of these jobs in a Rover just recently, and he used my timing kit. He had problems getting the camshaft locking bars to stay put. I guess this is why the factory has special tools 11 2 443 and 11 2 444 (the later of which is just a bolt) designed to hold them in place. Yet my Koch tools kit comes with no such part. Talking to Koch and Baum tools, neither has any clue. My friend ended up using a combination of C Clamps, but it did not work all that well.

Anyone know where you can get this factory tool?

Or as an alternative: In a Craig's List ad for an X5 I was looking at recently, while advertising all the work done on his vehicle, this fellow had a photo from his mechanic's shop of this very job in process, and his shop had an elaborate sort of clamp to hold the Camshaft Locking tool in place to the back of the heads. These clamps did not look home made, and did not look like the simple factory tool either.

Anyone have a source for either of these things?
