Trouble starting
 
Hi to every body !!!

I having trouble to start my car this morning . * after turn the key on and wait for fuel pump stop runing . start the car , it run for about 3 second and shut off by itself .I turn off the key and try to restart ,it does not start . after about 5 to 7 try it start up and run very slugged. after 10 second it clear out and run fine . ( in between crank , exhaust having rotten egg smell )any body having any idea . I'm worry .

what year X5 and how many miles?

when was the fuel filter replaced last?

Thanks for quick replay on my post . I have 2003 3.0 and it have 29,500 miles on it . I dont know when last time fuel filter was change. I just have the X about 1 year.

It's still under warranty & maintenance coverage...I'd take it into Stlr.
The rotten egg smell is byproduct of cat. converter.

Diagnosing by mail, is v. difficult. Doubtful it is a fuel filter prob., but the Stlr should be able to diagnose and repair.

Thanks, I will call stearler today to and hopefully I can make it in thursday ( my day off ) I will post again on friday to let us know what the problem is.
