I've been thinking of doing this to my 4.8! Looks better than I thought from a stylistic standpoint. I wonder what a gloss black finish would do to match the shadowline trim...
And.. +3 on fatter tires👍 |
Not my cup of tea. Wheels look too new (or futuristic) compare to car design.
But as long as you like it. :D |

They look better than E70 wheels on E53 IMO
Sharp and classy! |
Never ask for opinions on something you have already made the decision to do or have already done. If you like the wheels they are absolutely perfect.

Hey guys thanks to all!
I have asked the passionnate X5 e53 expert there appreciation or not - me i love it and indeed i may lowered the car 3 inches or get ticker tires next time but at the end of the day i'm very happy with the results and, hey! i have RB blessing - ultimate compliment !! :-) Take care all |
its a compliment to know that my words are a blessing LOL
Its OEM+, different than most (I haven't seen them on an E53 yet), and a classy look. Win win on all fronts. You could do H&R sport springs and lowering links for a slight drop if you wanted to lower it. I'm assuming they are stock sizes of 275/40 and 315/35? If so, keep them as is, don't go thicker |
(Just an opinion). I tend to agree with white46. Not to disrespect, how I see it--- the rims looks very nice on the car even better if you lower it, but the design/style not dated with the e53. At a first glance I would think they are after market rims not genuine bmw wheels. However I still like them and they would look a lot nicer with the x5 lowered. (Just an opinion ). It all comes down to, you did it, you like it, then screw what everyone else thinks. LOL
