Confirm Torque Specs for Brake Job on 4.6is
Is this value universal for all e53? I have found the following values and want to confirm.
Front carrier bracket: 77lb-ft Rear carrier bracket: 48 lb-ft Guide Pins: 22lb-ft Retaining screw: 12 lb-ft |
From the Bentley Publishing X5 Service manual, 2007 Edition
Front carrier bracket: 81ft, 110 Nm Rear carrier bracket: 48 lb-ft, 65 Nm Guide Pins: 20lb-ft(+-1ft), 27Mn (+-2Nm) Brake Rotor Retaining screw: 12 lb-ft |

From a class test in Structure Engineering & Metallurgy Q: What is the correct torque setting for a grade XX fastener with/o any known strength?
