Coolant Leak

After some time underneath today i have traced the coolant leak. its coming out where the engine and transmission meet. What sort of repairs am i facing? or would i be better off just selling

Hi,

Valley Pan gasket and rear coolant accumulator pipe seals/gaskets.

Unless it's a hose that is leaking,unlikely.

Is it running down the outside of the bell housing or is the source inside?

coming from the inside

There's a big plate (the end of the valley) with a gasket that can leak. You would have to drop the tranny to get to it. A PITA job for sure. Most of the other leaks in that area (heater hoses, crossover pipes, etc) would be leaking down the outside.

The first step is to remove the cabin filter housing and check the back side of the engine for visible leaks. It takes not more than 15 minutes to do so.

IM dreading this repair myself

I agree its worth checking the back of the engine, but recall the OP said it was leaking from inside the bell housing. If he/she/it is right, there aren't that many ways coolant can leak from inside the bell housing.
