Hood cable snapped, how to open?
 

My hood cable snapped on my 04 4.4i, im pretty sure it snapped from the junction where the cable from the cabin and the cable that goes to the latches. I think it broke from the second cable that goes to the latches...

Has anyone had this problem before and got there hood to open? I've tried googling but came back empty handed..

Any help is appreciated.

yikes. Call BMW service dept and ask how they'd open it.

I just googled it and a BUNCH of BMW X5 and 5 series videos and links ot forums show how to solve this.

Does anyone know how to take apart the lever beside the dead pedal? it might have just broken at the lever and i want to check...

Ill try calling the dealer to see what they say but i doubt they would help me over the phone and rather just tell me to bring it in for a diagnosis..
