Pics were removed so I wanted to put them up again. If there is any question about the performance in snow, they are great. These pics are in about 10-11 inches of snow....

The X5 looks really good in that color.

Looks good. I think I see a Vette on the four post lift? :)

Anyway, the only way I would have drive out in 11" of snow with 20" rims and tires would be to have the Jeep 4x4 follow me with the winch. :D :D

Well, my X is my winter/bad weather vehicle and those are 20" Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow tires, NOT stock Diamaris(sp?). I have 18" snow tires also but hate going from 20's to 18's, looks like crap on a 4.6. Anyway, these 20's handle better than the 18's in the dry and have provided me with exceptional snow traction. Drove up to VT with 6" of snow on the road about a month ago and I was passing everybody.
The car on the lift is a Porsche 996tt Ruf Rturbo 550. The X fits neatly underneath

Hey Griza, how much is that lift and how high and wide is it? any info is appreciated. Cool idea for those with limited space

The lift was around $3400 installed. My ceiling is 12ft high in my garage so I got lucky to have the room. Because I was putting an SUV underneath, I had to get a bigger lift than normal. It is wider, longer and raises up higher than the standard lifts. I don't remeber the exact measurments to be honest. It is around 17' long and 10' wide and raises up around 7 1/2'. I don't have it at its highest point, it goes up another 6 inches or so. The roof of the Porsche is probably about 6" from the ceiling but I have a light right there so I can't raise it up any further.
If you are interested in a lift, google Bend-pak and they will give you an installer in your area.

Are you concerned with fluids dripping from the p-car onto your X?

There are 3 drip tray's under the Porsche that come with the lift. I have two under the engine/tranny and one upfront. You can slide them to wherever you need them to be.
