Should I buy it?

I found a 2002 X5 4.4i, dark grey with black leather, 48,500 miles, sport package, navigation, sunshades, premium wheels. Very good condition, lease return bought from Riverside auction, price is $34,000 (down from 35 grand). Should I go for it? Also, for peace of mind what warranty plan / company is kown to be reliable? Thanks!

too much in imo. You can do better, don't fall in love too soon. Look around and take your time. This isn't a great deal by any means, so it's ok to pass on it even if you don't find another for a while. Again, only imo. Good luck.

I agree! Someone was selling his 02 4.6 for only 35K in the for sale section.

too many miles for an 04

Sounds like too much $ to me. I just bought a similar X5 from a BMW dealer for $32,900 less then 1 month ago. 100k BMW certified warranty and most options except NAV. It was off a 1 person lease who put 47k miles on it. Carfax report showed everything.
Good luck in your search. Be patient, and you will find the right one.

KBB price is higher for retail $39,800, private party is 35,600 for excellent condition. Seems like a good price to me.

I am looking at a new one next weekend in Portland so mine might be on the market soon. 2003 with 35000 miles and many extras.
