X5 Maple Anthracite Wood Trim

Okay you X5 E53 gurus. Can anyone help me in identifying the correct part numbers for Maple Anthracite wood trim for BMW X5. I know there is dark poplar and this is not Maple Antracite. Please help if yo can. Thanks in advance.

There is Dark Poplar, and there is Light Poplar. Show me a pic of the trim.

I have never seen nor heard of Maple Anthracite.

RB the attached picture is the maple Anthracite Wood. It's even listed as a no charge option in the 2006 x5 brochure. I'll post the link to the brochure so yo can see a little later on. I've got to head to my meeting.

I believe you, I just honestly never heard of it. And I just looked up on RealOEM for a 2006 E53 and the only colors are as follows (on the "covering inner" section):

-Dark Poplar (Dunkel)
-Light Poplar (Hell)
-Smoke Grey Poplar
-Titan Silver
-Graphite Metallic
-Natural Poplar (maybe this is yours?)
-Mahogany Maritime (definitely not yours)
-Cosmoschwarz (Piano Black)
-Imola Red
-Lemans Blue
-Savana Beige

That pic you posted honestly looks like Dark Poplar, but I never had Dark Poplar so I couldn't say for certainty. See if you can pop off a door panel trim piece later and grab a part number from the back of it and post up a picture of the trim. But honestly I've never heard of nor seen Maple Anthracite, and if its different than the ones listed on RealOEM it truly is a rarity because I can't find it.

Well it's not my vehicle that has this trim but a board member here has it but obtained it as a swap out from another owner. Anyway below is the brochure link that shows this wood option as a no charge for the 2006 x5. The option can be found on page 12 of the brochure:

Yeah I looked through all of my resources and could not locate its existence.

Wow you're not kidding. Amazing though that I can't find part numbers for it. I've never seen it nor heard it was an option till now, 99.9% of facelift vehicles came equipped with one of the wood trims, the Graphite, or Imola/Lemans on the iS models mostly.

Would love to see a live pic of it.

Here you go. Only $1799. BMW E90 E91 LCI 3 Series Sedan Touring Maple Wood Anthracite Individual Trim | eBay

edit: My bad, that's not for an e53.

Or just take yours off and bring it in and have it refinished.
I plan to do mine in piano black, with a conversion varnish on top for maximum protection.
700$ at a local body shop
If they have to take them off and install them back on, 1400$
I choose 50% off;)
Now let's see when I get around doing it...it seems like there's never enough time .

Yeah I agree with you that custom refinishing would be a great alternative at a lower price. Do you have a local shop that deals with custom wood trim refinishing? Would love to know the source.
