We shared a parking spot, with one car in front of the other. He went

because the brakes didn't work. Never mind that all I did was move
it in and out of the same spot and clearly I had my own car, so I had
no reason to be driving his. No, it was all my fault..... Until he took
it in and found out the calipers were seized from corrosion.

For the record, I think it was a motor mount they replaced, not the
axle. I'm not sure how that could screw up the air suspension either.
But one scenario might be that there was a component about ready
to fail and that somehow they got the suspension in a different
position that pushed it over the edge. If that's the case, then it's
not their fault. It would be like having a decaying wire harness,
taking the car in for some kind of repair that disturbs it, then
blaming the shop for the failure.

I've been wondering what will happen if they finally say that
they found the problem, fixed it, it wasn't caused by us and you
owe us $XXX. Of course since it's obvious they are beyond their
core competencies, it's also possible in their testing and fiddling
they will really screw something up, blow a module, etc. Which
is why IDK why the car is still there, especially since the poster
says he wished he'd taken it to BMW, has no problem with BMW
repair charges, etc. This sounds like something that BMW could
probably diagnose in an hour or two

They took responsibility immediately and at ever turn the problems come from the LF front only... And yes it was a motor mount but they chose to remove the axel for access to a stiff bolt, and in the process upset the air ride it's not a debate but being that they have taken responsibility I'm let them decide how much they want to try to fix it on there own. I'm sure by now I could have demanded they send the keeler bmw. But they made every effort to fix/make this right, so I'm bearing with them. If at some point it proven that it's a problem with bad components not related the the repair I'll gladly pay for that myself...

In other news they squad it was ready again today. But again the adjustment doesn't function it completely out of wack... So I'm gonna talk to the service manager in the mourning about allowing, Pat to take a crack at it. If he's right it'll be fixed for less then it'll cost to pull into the service center at my local BMW dealer. (Which is more for their benefit then mine). I'm not looking to cost them any more money then is necessary. But yeah if could go back I would have gladly paid more money to avoid this whole mess in the first place. Once I'm clear of this disaster it's BMW all the way.
