Front wheel hub

Has anyone had luck removing the pressed wheel bearing and hub in the front spindle? No amount of heating or beating is working out. I'm about to give up on it because even if I get it out with it being that tight I'm afraid to hurt it pressing it back in. Also did you just replace the bearing or the hub as well.

Read through that thread it has my tips and tricks in it.

You need to press it in/out using the Harbor Freight wheel bearing adapters kit if you are doing it with the spindle on the car.

I reused my hubs, just dremeled off the inner race that was stuck to it.

Honestly the process is similar if not identical to the E46 rear bearings. Watch this removal video on Youtube and the install video as well afterwards

I wrote the tricks for my E39 REAR bearing.
Same idea for E53 FRONT bearing...

For INNER bearing race: you can use the large bearing separator to pull or Angle Grinder...

^Your thread actually helped me a TON on my front bearings. To get the inner race off I just dremeled a groove and then whacked the groove with a hammer and chisel to split the race and then it came off the hub, but the bearing separator trick was very good in your thread too.

I found a good deal at the junkyard on a complete assembly which I have taken pictures below. The only problem is that the end of the CV is substantially smaller than the one that come off the truck and I'm wondering if this is from a 3.0 model instead of a 4.4.

I'm swapping the cv right now. The hub is in great shape and there was no way to pass this huge chunk of stuff up for 50 bucks!! The caliper even had new pads and the rotor was like new.

Looks to me like the one on the right is just missing the rollers off the spider.

I thought so as well, but the studs aren't as tall as the one with the rollers.
