Depo Headlights - only half the inner Angel Eye lights up

I've started having trouble with my Depo headlights with LED angel eyes. On the inner angel eyes, only a half circle of LED's light up. I'm going to open the rear rubber seals and see if there are connection issues.

Has anyone had this problem with the Depo's before?

I remember reading that somebody had a problem with the LED rings and were offered a new set of rings to fit themselves or to ship back the light unit for repair. This was offered while the lights were still in warranty.
How old are your lights?

Are they leds? I have Depo angel eyes on my E39 and they are a series of small globes.

I know I have LED's.

Yes, they are LED's. There are 60 LEDs in each ring.
Only one half side of the ring is lit up.

Be interested to find out just what the failure & cure is for future information in case my Depo's do the same thing.
How old? Who sold them to you? Cure?

That is probably a connection issue or the small inverter boxes failed inside the headlight. If you bought them from fishcake on ebay, email him.

I had this exact issue. Email fishcake, his warranty repair policy rocks.

Thanks! Yes, I got mine from fish cake. It was a while ago. But even if he knows what would cause it, that would help.

Update: I shipped my headlight assemblies back to fishcake. He agreed to cover the repair, as long as I covered shipping both ways. The lights came back in working order. The small electrical boxes that distribute power to each LED halo seemed to be new and the interior of each light assembly was stuffed with bubble wrap, seemingly to prevent the components from vibrating around inside the headlights.
