Tilt steering and washers

My tilt steering Controls and both the front and back washers went out at the same time. I've searched high and low for a fuse that's bad or a connector that's loose and can't find anything. Any ideas?

There's so many unanswered questions so...so as to the front/rear washer...the pumps are sitting next to each other on the washer reservoir...there's no mention if the motors make a sound or are completely dead...but check there electrical harness. If they make a sound but nothing comes out...check the washer nozzles to see if they are clogged...especially if you have hard water in your area and you mix it with your washer fluid. A pin inserted into the tip of the washer nozzles will usually dislodge any build up of crud.

Also check the relay for the pumps:

The steering wheel is controlled by the seat control module (PM-SM). Check the connections to that...if that's okay, you may need to check the connections in the steering column for the motors that control the up/down & in/out movement:

You don't indicate if its the up/down or in/out steering wheel functions that aren't working (perhaps both)...if so, the components (transmission/motors) to check in the steering column are #8 & #9...and also the shafts (#12 & #13). There's a drive that can become disconnected or worn:

Perfect. Thank you!

So far I have been able to verify there is voltage at the motors but that is all. I still have nothing from my tilt steering when I attempt to use it. I inspected the harness and it is good. I also inspected my washer relay but I don't know what voltage I am supposed to be seeing at the switches for either of these problems. are there any schematics that detail what voltage and signal should be where? Thank you for your help

Perhaps you can gain some info from this e39 steering column thread: bmw E39 steering column up/down adjustment failure

Thank you for the reference link. This has been an ongoing issue and if I could just get the steering wheel adjusted manually one time I'd be ok, but looking at it when I was testing it there appeared no option for a manual adjustment so I'm hosed until I figure it out.
