A couple shots of the new stance
Friend and member on here (B-M-W) coded the X to sit lower. We lowered the default height by 19 mm's. The idea was to have it sit as the access level height at all times, but I think it's just slightly lower then that too, no complaints here
Also slapped on some 25mm spacers up front to compliment the 30mm's in the back Here she is http://i.imgur.com/hBaVjqa.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/v3fMzPP.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/5LnFO8b.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/ttFr4DL.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/6mZegdg.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/81UhIm1.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/FFpfO2g.jpg?1 Thanks for looking, and as always thank you to all the members who provide and contribute to the wealth of information on here |
Looks Great!
Care to share how you coded the settings thru GT1? |

Right now we're trying to figure out how to code the "off road" height setting to not disable automatically at 50 kph, that way I can raise the X to the factory height at will and travel at any speed I wish without it automatically switching back. (the standard height drives a little nicer and softer, for when wife and kids are in the car ;)) |

The other goodies added was done on NCS expert. I might start a complied list of codes that can be altered, but for now you can dig around here and find most of them like, changing KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB to activ on the GM3 code will make your windows and sunroof roll up via the key FOB. |
Pretty much all the possible codings for E53

This one has a lot of info too. Problem is you have to sort through several pages to put it all together, and some of the info is incomplete. It would be nice to have a single post with everything listed.

Looks sharp! The spacers worked out perfect.
I really need to find the front flares and RB's I just get sick at the thought for dishing out $1000-1200 for them :( |
^Agreed. car looks gorg!

Thanks Fellas will give it a go at INPA.
I do "MOST" of my coding via PA soft and Navcoder. I find the other software to be to laggy and unresponsive.....maybe my PC. Sorry OT. |

To OP...sorry...Not to hijack your tread.
This afternoon...I did the Height calibration via INPA....and still toying as I write this. The lowest I can drop/fool the the Air suspension is with a value of 10...all 4 corners @ Access mode....without any errors. It was very low!....:D:wow::D.....haven't driven it yet....and will take photos for reference....maybe this weekend. It affects the Max and Min settings on these modes( Off-road - standard - motorway - Access). With this setting....Off road mode seems like a standard height! ;) Lowering the X5......Very easy with INPA! |
Looks dope just like mine when i had 168s on and same spacer setup back a year ago.
Also dont bother trying to figure out if you can drive it in access or offroad height without it going back to the middle after about 25mph. That is hardcoded in the system and no way to change it. There was at one point using a product by the name of intrax module which was a piggy back wired in.. They are discontinued and probably hard to find, with that it let you override and keep it in the higher or lower mode. |

Two people now saying "it can't be done":) I guess if I had the real reason why it wouldn't work, I would give up... Untill then...... |
