Spyder LED Taillight Problems

Hey guys so I ordered a set of spyder taillights and they don't seem to be working properly. The right side LEDs were flickering when I first plugged them in but now nothings lighting up and I can't even get the outer left one to plug into the harness. Does anyone have any suggestions, can I get custom harnesses made for these?

let me know if you guys think pictures of the lights would help

Currently looking through this thread, do I need to get these capacitors from lightwerkz because I'm an 06? http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...-lights-6.html

Yes you do but you also may need to swap some pins around in the harness because the 00-06 had different tail light wiring, there is an old thread about it somewhere

Ok thanks, I just wanted to make sure there was something worth looking for before I started digging through old threads

let us know how you make out and what you did to fix the problem, I am thinking of getting those taillights also.

Facelift models (04-06, and some 03): you need capacitor to stop the flickering. It causes by the adaptive brake light.
Pre-facelift model (01-03): plug-n-play

So, you will lose adaptive brake light if swapping over to LED?

Yes

I believe Spyder manufacture two different models of tail lights. One to suit pre and the other for post facelift. I purchased the latter for my '06 and they seem to work okay, except for a slight flicker of the tail lights (no problem with the brake lights). It was all plug and play for me and they look great. I haven't worried about the flicker, as it's hardly noticeable.
What is 'adaptive brake light'?

Normal braking force: only the bottom set light up
Hard braking force: both sets (the whole red part of the taillight) light up

They do not make 2 models. The flickering you have now is why you need to add the capacitors to stop the flickering on the 03-06 models
