I am not so sure the tube belongs under the 2 top metal clips, (I think the photos of the OP showed them pushed under the clips and zip tied)?? Both my sides (as looks like the OP photos does) had black tape that was holding the tubes lower than the clips because there is a rectangular plastic bottom under the torque screw (look at the underneath photo of the pillar cover) that needs clearance from the tube. My passenger side tube was a bit too close and got squeezed (from the factory- my first time taking the pillar cover off).
Just my 2 cents...... |
Thank you so much, i wasn't been able to clean my bump drains and your pics solved my problem!

This is a great DIY Thanks. I have water coming in driver side under the dash getting everything wet. I started low. Heater box, nope. windshield, nope. open sunroof pour a little water in the gutter and WhaLaa water pouring in the car. I dont see any drain holes from the top. any idea where they are?
Also do you know if there is a diy and is it possible to change the seal around the glass and the sunroof opening? Thanks Another drain to watch is the tail gate drains.. VERY costly when they clog |
funny this was just brought up. after years of forgetting to run weed trimmer cord up through the back ones, I tried and could only get about 4" inside the rubber exit, under lift gate before the trimmer cord would snag and not go any further.
I will have to attempt to enter from the other end of the drainage tube. |
I just found this thread..I have an 04 and my carpet areas are soaked front and back..Its dry in the rear leftgate area but front and back are wet......Any ideas ?

It will also help you get good advice from the braintrust's extensive knowledge of water leaks if you can be more specific in exactly what carpet areas are wet. "front and back"??? "leftgate" = liftgate, or left side? |
