Passenger windshield wiper

Can someone take a picture of their passenger wiper in their X and post it?

Does this help?

It does, thanks. I need to compare it. I'll post a pic of what mine looks like. Mine seems to have more upward angled.

Take a look at the mount point at the end of the arm where it bolts down. I believe you will find the arm is not "seated" all the way down on the drive shaft. Looks like someone removed the arm and did not press it all the way down or misaligned the arm to the shaft then tightened the bolt.

Second thought: Was the hood crushed as some point in its life?

I had to adjust mine because it was hitting the edge of the hood if I lifted the wiper arm (i.e. when it snows). You can see the damage in the photos below. It looks weird how it is now but it no longer hits the hood.

You know when I was washing the X I noticed how difficult it was to pull the wiper up and placing it perpendicular to windshield because the arm would hit the hood. I said weird how the left can be propped up but the passenger side is no go. What was BMW Thinking and how did they miss this?

The nut probably comes loose, allowing the arm to lift out of the shaft.
Whenever I deal with this nut, I use Locktite.
