Powers1, I was just being ridiculous. Here in California a few people have actually gold plated their rims. And there are now wheels with centers that continue to spin when the car has stopped. Thankfully, I haven't seen these on X5's.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned black as a choice. This isn't my car, but it was my motivation to buy the same black wheels for my black 540i. Together with black kidney grills and 35% tints, my 540i had a nice sinister look.

I have black wheels several times a year, and then I wash them!
